Looking for an eSIM to get internet access and receive calls when you go to Korea but not sure what to get?
Don’t worry because in this guide, I’m going to tell you what the best and cheapest way to get an eSIM will be, so that you can relax and enjoy your future trip to Korea!
What is an eSIM for?
Simply put, an eSIM is a SIM card except you don’t need to physically put it in. It’s completely digital.
Newer phones like the iPhone 11 and up all support eSIM. If your phone doesn’t support eSIM, no worries, you can just get a physical SIM card.
Anyway, eSIM is useful in Korea because you will need
- fast internet speed anywhere so you can look up directions or places to do and eat, or call a cab
- or a phone number that can receive calls and texts (some attractions or restaurants require this to reserve)
I would highly recommend anyone going to Korea get an eSIM or a SIM card.
Which eSIM to get?
I recommend the LG U+ eSIM. Here’s why:
- It’s a reputable and large company in Korea. They have multiple locations at Incheon Airport in Seoul as well as in the city so it’s easy to get help if needed.
- It can be set up completely online without needing to go to the store.
- Cheap. For 10 days, LG U+ costs around $26 USD while Airalo costs $32.
My wife and I went with LG U+ eSIM when we went to Korea for 2 weeks for our honeymoon, and we were very happy with it.

And that’s it!
I hope you found this post helpful, and I hope you have a great time in Korea!
